Robert William Chapman Award

The medal was first awarded in 1935 and perpetuates the  memory of Sir Robert Chapman, a former Professor of Engineering at the University of Adelaide and a member of the inaugural Council of the Institution. He was Chairman of the former Adelaide Division in 1920 and was President of the Institution in 1922.

The presentation of the RW Chapman Medal took place on Thursday 27 October 2011 in Sydney NSW. The award was presented by Richard Eckhaus,Deputy Chair (now Chair)

of the Structrual College Board.The winner was R.Al-Mahaidi &  S.Hashemi as the co-authors of the paper, "Investigation of bond strength and flexural behaviour of FRP-strengthened reinforced concrete  beams using cement-based adhesives".
